THE TOUCH OF GOD THROUGH YOU!
By Annie Verghese

My father is an alcoholic, my mother juggles between home and work often with a volatile temper, trying to keep the home intact. My home is nothing short of a combat zone. Tension has become a way of life. I look to the ceiling of my room and wonder, where do I fit in this jigsaw puzzle of life. I spill unseen tears onto my pillow. I cry - Who am I? Whom do I belong to? Does anyone care? My heart pounds, aching for some love and peace. I can’t find any. I am stuck with these relationships I did not ask for. Where do I go? Is there a way out?

This is a true story of a fourteen year old lad who feels deprived and quarantined. Is there hope for him? The leper felt quarantined, but one touch from the Master’s hand changed his life (Mathew 8). Can you and I be that vessel to reach out to the unloved with the unconditional love of Jesus? To do so, first our lives must be engulfed with His love supreme. Today is our call to allow our hands to be God’s hands of love and mercy.

Can we pause to make that commitment – Lord, use me to be a vessel of Your touch of love to those around me, that lives may find hope and be blessed.
Love Letter to God
By Praveen Jose

Dear Father,

You bent me to mould me,
You failed me to raise me.
You corrected me to teach me,
You made me to love me.
Why did I ask who it was?
Why did I question Your mercy?
Why did I abandon my joy?
Why did I question You?
I know it today, it was my arrogance,
Pride that I could do it.
I thought I was a conqueror by myself,
But I learnt it the hard way.
I was born again with your love,
I was transformed after I surrendered.
I was healed, I was healed,
I live to tell everyone, that Your promises are true.
Today I rejoice,
Glad in suffering, and living in hope.
My sin and suffering are paid for,
For I know whom Christ died for.
So today, Your petals of love blow over me,
Your tender love kisses me.
Your river of love refreshes me,
Your grace covers me.
Oh how much I love you Lord,
I feel you always.
Blessed am I to be free,
Just want to let you know that "I LOVE YOU".
Surfing On The Waves
By Hyacinth Santiago
Psalm 93:4
“The Lord on high is mightier than the noiseof many waters, yeah, than the mighty waves of the sea”
Help me to surf the waves of despair
The breakers that suffocate the drown-
That crash and groan without a care
Creating a tempest of their own.
Grant strength to over-ride
The crest of waves and fear
Lord, please remain by my side
Be my beacon, bright and clear
Help me surf the waves of the deep
For You are the creator of all
When they rise high and steep –
Hold my hand lest I fall.
At Your command the waves were still
Let my confidence be anchored in You –
Let them crash, roar – do what they will
For the captain of my soul is You!
WHAT MATTERS
By Sonia John
As I sit down on a stormy day
I begin to wonder what it is that matters in life today
Thoughts come rushing back to me of what people had to say
Realizing how the world is so different than what I had thought
Hoping now I could someday change what is being taught
The world is vile and so corrupt
The perversions of the desires of men and their sinful nature
It’s what people seek and I wonder if they will ever mature
Our culture advises to find what pleases the mind
So that’s what people believe, not realizing they are so blind
People go on and on, with life, their pattern
Not ever stopping to realize what really matters
Yet people who have been shown the truth
Never attempt to share, but go on doing what others do
I often share in the guilt of not helping the lost
Which is opposite of our Savior, it is He who paid our cost
Dying on a cross was the only sacrifice to be
God’s Son in place of us finished the task at the young age of thirty three
It’s a great gift that I have been given
So it’s my duty to share to all who are living
Many will forsake and not pay attention
Refusing to realize that would be their only redemption
We are not worthy of such a saving grace
Yet we have to accept him instead of going on living through this maze
Our guilt, our shame and all that is within us
Had not yet been born when we were made of dust
Satan tempted Eve with the same sin he faced with
The pride of which called to all of redemption
Now as I look at my day, my week, my life
I pray in Christ I may always strive
I lead you with this thought, that you may lead someone to His saving grace
So that one day when they see God they too will be embraced
This world will die and not everyone will live happily ever after
So I will put my trust in God, the Author of all what matters.
